In contrast, based on a rolling 4 quarter average, the number of FDI projects remained stable QoQ in Q1, with an average of 30 projects – while the number of jobs created increased by 4% QoQ to 1,948. However, YoY declines were recorded across both projects (-9.2%) and jobs (-22.6%).
In absolute terms, the number of FDI projects recorded across the 6 European cities analysed declined in Q1 2024, due in part to slowing economic growth across the region.
